Sailor's Return is a beautiful Grade II listed cottage in the heart of Mevagissey and less than a minute's walk to the harbour. There are 2 kingsize beds situated on the 1st floor. The 3rd bedroom is located on the 2nd floor with 2 single beds and accessed via a narrow staircase with a low ceiling and may be unsuitable for children and guests with limited mobility. There is a kitchen, separate dining room, 1 bathroom and an outside courtyard with dining area. 1 x free parking. Dog friendly The property is newly refurbished throughout in a stylish manner, yet maintaining its original character and has a history of being the home of local Fishermen over the years as well as a Fish Hawker - Circa 1810 Parking is provided for 1 car in a car park which is a maximum 5 minute walk from the cottage with a guaranteed spot and electric charging points. There is a small short stay car park yards away from the cottage for arrival unloading/loading. The front room has a log burner, two 3 seater comfy sofas, a Smart TV, (Netflix) DVD player and a HDMI cable. There is a wide selection of games , books and dvd's. There is a dining room and table that comfortably seats all 6 guests and additional crockery to accommodate roast dinners, including a steamer, casserole dish and ample pots and pans and egg poacher & egg cups. The kitchen has a dishwasher , washing machine, microwave, coffee machine , cafetière, even a cocktail maker and a Champagne bucket, along with all the cooking utensils and equipment you will need. This 3rd bedroom is spacious and also has a Smart TV and HDMI lead. Outside is a secure patio and decked area with a table and chairs accommodating for 6. There is space to leave your surf and paddle boards and hang your wetsuits and swim wear. There is an outside tap to wash down any sandy toes! We accept a maximum of 2 dogs , there is no charge for their stay. Mevagissey has authentic Cornish pubs with open fires and traditional home cooked food as well as harbour view restaurants and cafes. All of these are just a short walk from the property. SAFETY - PLEASE NOTE: As noted previously this property is on 3 floors. The 2nd floor bedroom hosting the 2 single beds is accessed by a narrow staircase with a low ceiling. This space may not be suitable for children or persons with mobility issues. Due to the property being a Grade II listed building the staircase's bannisters, gaps in spindles and height may differ to what you are used to at home. For your safety please always take care on stairs and supervise children. FIRE REGS STATE : NO charging in the property of: E-Bikes & E-scooters or any other electrical / battery operated appliances. NO smoking / NO e - cigarettes & NO candles. PROVIDED FOR YOU: A bath towel & hand towel per person. A clothes horse , iron, ironing board & 1 hairdryer. 2 x fire guards (1 small size & 1 large size for infants) 1 x fire gloves. Travel cot , high chair , stair-gate and baby bath can be provided on request. We do not provide the cot bedding & we recommend children to be supervised at all times.
