Great location in national park close to shops and restaurants in walkable distance. Loved having our own space and hang out and chill at. We did have our own lodge, however we didn’t expect other rooms to be connected to our space via a hallway and entrance, so we were noise restricted after a certain time. We did find a couple of times random people walking around inside our seperate area. Was awesome to have a large living area with a pool table and tv. Great area for those wanting to do the Tongariro crossing or other mountain sports.

Reasonably good place. Old furniture. The photos and the description did not match the place. We were supposed to rent the whole place but the common areas could not be locked. However the bedrooms were secure. In general, it was OK.

Steve was an amazing host. Recommend you contact him directly with any questions. The person in the reception area wasn't very helpful. Steve, however, was very responsive and helpful. Space is huge with clean beds and lots of common areas to spend with your friends. Great value. Amazing views within a short walk.

Nice lodge, great for a big group. It isn't super clear from the listing, but the lodge is part of a motel, and is connected to the other buildings. Unfortunately this meant we had the odd other guest walking through our lodge because the door between wasn't lockable. Other than that, it was a great stay. Thanks!
