A really nice quiet location with some sheep and lambs in a pen next to the hut. The site was shared with a couple of caravans. Comfortable double bed and terrific shower. We had great weather and a good experience as a result. However, space is very limited - about 5.5 x 2.5 metres total - which has implications. The fridge is minimal in the extreme - maybe 12 x 8 x 4 inches inside. There is a large fridge in the barn a few metres away but the thermostat is broken so everything freezes. Cooking has to be done on a single-ring portable induction hob, a small air fryer, or a barbecue outside. Water is available (slowly) from a wall unit whose temperature setting has an uncertain effect on what comes out, or from an outside tap near the hut. Work surfaces are minimal and the sink is in the corner and awkward to reach. There's no wifi but the phone signal is excellent. So set your expectations accordingly - the price is fair for what it is, but you need to understand what you're getting.

Such a magical stay at Angela's place, she was so lovely. The bed was comfortable and the space was cozy. We got a delicious welcome hamper (eggs, milk, bread, marmalade, jam, butter, wine! Theres sugar and tea and everything you might need. Lovely indoor stove which we didnt light but for the atmosphere as it was toasty warm. Had everything you need all included in the cost which is lovely to see, other places might charge you 5 pounds a day for a fire pit or a bbq but not here, all included. Absolutely lovely farm shop with marmalade, eggs, bacon, sausages etc. Wonderful stay, and we got to feed the baby lambs!!

Had a really lovely stay in the shepherds hut. It was well equipped and there was a great hamper of items for me. The hut had everything we needed including its own toilet and shower…brilliant! Plenty of furniture and utensils. Could hear the sheep in the morning which my little girl loved waking up to. The owners and their daughter were lovely. They showed my little girl around their farm, she loved the animals and she was especially excited to feed the baby lambs their milk. They really went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. The local area is beautiful and we had some advice of places to visit from the owners. We will definitely be returning for another visit. Thank you

Angela was a lovely host and the hut was a wonderful place to stay! It was very nice waking upto lambs and chickens outside in the beautiful surroundings.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay here. It was the perfect countryside escape. We were offered (but not obliged to take) a tour of their wonderful farm which included bottle feeding their precious little lambs. The shepherd's hut was exactly as described (and matched the photos) and was the perfect spot for a very therapeutic few days. Definitely tempted to return!
