Check in was easy, but definitely recommend using the what.three.words app as can be a little difficult to find. The place was immaculately clean and tidy and had all of basics supplied, including treats and a bowl for our dog which was a nice touch. The garden area was perfect for our 4 legged friend, with the fencing all secured with wire so we had no concerns with letting her out. The location was perfect for us, with the forest of dean and Mulvern hills nearby for walking, and Gloucester not too far away for an evening in the town with some fine dining. The house itself is in an extremely quiet street with only 2 cars passing during our whole 4 day stay, so if peace and tranquility is what you want, Fran and Angela's house is ideal. Newent itself also has a nice lake walk with all of the amenities of a small town so if you want to stay local, the location of this house ticks that box too. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate booking again

The barn was pristine! The surroundings were beautiful and private. Our children love the garden and space. Great value for money

A really enjoyable stay at Medlands, nice quiet location & a really clean place. Nice big garden for the kids to play which was fenced so they couldn’t escape! Amazing views of the countryside & vineyard. Would highly recommend for a visit to the Cotswolds.

A lovely place to stay, immaculate condition and loved the little touches with essentials provided inside e.g. tea, sugar and a lovely bunch of daffodils. Local guides and instructions were supplied and the area was very quiet and green. Lovely neighbours nearby who gave us some lovely free range eggs. To get to Ross on Wye (local town) took about 15 minutes and Hereford is 40 minutes away. Did feel a bit cut off and the outdoor space was lacking with any plants etc but otherwise a great place to stay and helpful & friendly hosts.
