Island Sands 311 offers a window A/C in the living area and this two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo features panoramic ocean views! Step inside the tranquil master bedroom to find a queen size bed with incredible ocean views and direct lanai access and an ensuite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The guest bedroom also features an ensuite with a walk-in shower and a queen size bed. In the living room you will find a Queen size sleeper sofa for additional guests allowing space for 6 guests total. Pack light when staying at this location since you'll have the convenience of having a washer and dryer in the unit. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for making meals where you can enjoy ocean views while you prepare your meals. The dining table also expands to offer extra seating space for larger groups! My Perfect Stays provides a complimentary starter kit of dish soap, laundry soap and dryer sheets, complimentary Papaya Noni shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and body soap. There are no resort or parking fees. Island Sands Resort is an oceanfront resort that offers a pool, BBQ area, and koi pond. This resort is located at Ma'alaea Bay, near many attractions, shops and restaurants. Walk to Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium), take a sunset sail or whale watching tour from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to many excursions such as Hana or Haleakala. Great location- walking distance to the Wharf. The condo had all of the amenities - ice maker in the bottom of the refrigerator worked great. Beach chairs- no umbrella that we could find. Great cooler to take to the beach. Binoculars for looking out at the ocean from the balcony. The pool is nice and the property looks exactly as shown. A bit warm in the bedroom by the balcony- the bedroom by the front door was cooler. As stated the only air conditioner is in the living room and definitely cools the living room area and kitchen very well- just the bedrooms are a tad warm at night. One key potential issue we had: there is a lockbox that hold the keys-when you leave the door shuts (on a spring) and it locks behind you! We got there around 6:00 and after an 8 hour flight and being tired, I made the mistake of leaving the keys on the kitchen counter as we went to unload- it would be better to have a keyless code pad. Unlock from the inside so this doesn’t happen to you!
Beautiful view, peaceful surroundings, enjoyed the welcome gift, also loved sitting on the deck listening to the waves while playing cards with my family.
It was a great experience all around! Loved the location on the water, the pool area was stunning and it was about 15 minutes away from everything we wished to access
The reason you book this unit is for the view. It’s a fantastic spot overlooking the water and fun to watch the sea turtles swimming in the waves. The lanai is shady in the afternoon which is great for relaxing (although in September you cannot see the actual sun setting at this spot on the island). Also, FYI Ma’alaea Harbor is one of the windiest spots on the island. The unit is as described — well supplied, good laundry and kitchen appliances… the building is just overall a bit run down. The AC is as described — only a window unit in the living room. This is not sufficient to reach the back bedroom, and also, the AC is on a 4hr timer so it will automatically go off after 4hrs if you leave for the day or when sleeping overnight. Check in/out was easy, and the host agency “My Perfect Stays” sent clear emails with instructions for parking/arrival/departure. If you stay here, be sure to visit Ma’alaea General Store — great spot and amazing breakfasts.
