As a family of 4 it was a perfect place to stay for a few days in York. Just a few minutes walk into the town centre, great local shops nearby for those trip essentials. Host was super proactive and enabled an early check in, which when driving up from London (so difficult to estimate exact arrival) was incredibly useful. The apartment was beautifully decorated and furnished and the welcome pack was excellent! Highly recommend! It is up 2 flights of stairs (which is on the listing), if I had very young kids and a lot of luggage this might get tiresome.

We absolutely loved our stay at Marygate, we didn't want to leave, could of easily moved in. We had a stressful time as we originally had a cottage just outside of York booked which unfortunately had to cancel on us due to damage from the floodings previously in the year. However, we were much better off in the end, despite being more expensive the Marygate apartment was perfect in terms of location. Situated in a very peaceful and private area but still close to the centre of town. The views are stunning and we were obsessed with the windows. The apartment is beautifully decorated and had everything you would need for a short break. Stays York have thought of everything. Loved how close we were to a very nice local pub The Minster, and the local curry house Raj was also lovely. Thank you Stays York for a fab time, we will definitely book again.

Away with few friends for a 60th birthday celebration. Apartment beautiful and just as described. We didn’t want to leave. Easy walk into centre. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommended.

Stunning Airbnb with lots of natural light. Modern and clean with plenty of space. Very walkable, we never needed a taxi. Even greeted us with a bottle of Prosecco which was not necessary but much appreciated. We will definitely be back!
