We had an absolutely lovely time at Jim’s place. The views were incredible and we were lucky enough to see a clear night sky with incredible view of the stars. We turned up and there were tulips on the table and some Easter treats which went down lovely. We had made use of the wood burner each night and were given a nice supply of logs. Jim popped round to see we had settled in ok and gave some top local tips. All in all in an absolutely lovely stay with the family in beautiful surroundings and a very clean and tidy place. Highly recommend.

What can I say about Caffyns Halt.... The place is extremely clean, has lovely comfy beds, has everything you will need and a view across the valley that has to be one of the best in Exmoor! There are lovely walks from the doorstep, and it is a stone's throw from Lynton &Lynmouth. We took our terrier who is mid height. He could not find a way out of the garden. It is totally secure. Your neighbours are sheep and horses!... Hosts Jim & Sue are extremely friendly and accommodating. Anything you need or would like to know.... just ask. You will get quick responses for any questions. We were due to travel down on Friday one of the hottest 32° days. As no-one was in the property, we were kindly offered the chance to check in early at 9am to beat both traffic and the midday heat - at no extra cost. If you need a place to stay on Exmoor with a secure garden, a spacious yet cosy accommodation, views to die for, and friendly hosts, I would highly recommend Caffyns Halt.

A comfortable and peaceful bungalow. Very well equipped. Really well situated for beautiful walks. The views from the property are stunning.

Jim’s bungalow is in a beautiful area where the neighbours are all friendly sheep, lambs, deer and horses. We had a very relaxing stay and walked for miles up hill and down dale where we found tranquil beaches nestled within coves and woodland - it’s a beautiful part of the world. The bungalow is equipped with everything you’ll need when catering for a family. It’s quiet and a real rural retreat. Thank you
