Our 2-bedroom cottage rests on a quiet, non-motorized lake which is perfect for kayaking or paddle boarding. 2 kayaks and life vests can be provided. Direct access to snowmobile & ATV trails. XC ski and hiking trails are close! The cottage is just a 10-15 minute drive from Long Lake, and a short drive to many other larger lakes in the area. Close to Hayward & Spooner. Take a break and unwind! Enjoy the sights and sounds of wildlife - loons, owls, & whitetail deer are often heard and seen. Newly remodeled top-bottom duplex - you will enjoy the top floor with an open floor plan that allows all guests to enjoy their time together - with great views of the lake from the patio door and picture window or out on the balcony! Sit out by the lake at the fire pit and enjoy the sounds of nature. The bedrooms each have a double (full-size-extra long) semi-firm memory foam mattress. Bedroom 2 also has a twin bed. Bedroom 1 has a designated work space. The bathroom includes full washer and dryer as well as plenty of extra towels. Some detergent & dryer sheets are provided. The 3-season porch is perfect for additional gathering space, and includes a table, chairs, and love seat. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, glassware, dinnerware, pots, pans, and baking dishes. The kitchen table can be extended to seat 8. Plastic dinnerware for children is provided as well. There are many games, puzzles, and books available in the cottage as well as a "free little library" next door. OF NOTE: Stowe Cottage does not have a dishwasher, air conditioning, or televisions. Fans are provided in each bedroom. Please let us know if you need a shower chair, as one can be provided. The walkout basement may be utilized during your stay by owners and family, but the rest of the property will be yours alone - it is unlikely you will see anyone, if you do, it may only be walking the back-yard trail between owners home and the basement.
