We enjoyed the decor, comfort and amenities of the house along with proximity to stores and places to eat. The yard is quite small and other houses/studios are in very close proximity. Quiet neighborhood people-wise, but with the busy street in front, it might be difficult to sit on the front porch. Parking is a little tricky, either on the street or in one slot in the alley with a narrow walkway between a building and fencing. All that being said we did enjoy the house, ability to cook meals and relax in the living room. We respect the age of the house and how well upgraded it is. LOVE the heating system …very quiet and efficient. Recommend the rental…just know sight seeing will be done away from the house. Be sure to visit the Gunnison Pioneer Museum!! And you will love your manager/contact person, Jenny, who is most helpful no matter what!

Very charming and nicely redone historic victorian home. Main Street location was handy and an easy 4 block walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Grocery store and coffee shop also an easy walk. Window coverings let a lot of morning light in, but host provided sleep masks for everyone's comfort. Modern amenities including washer and dryer, dishwasher, and all small kitchen appliances. We were extremely happy with our stay and will stay again. Description described an outside dining area, but our unit only had casual seating on the front porch. The two units behind the main house had dining areas. We utilized 'on street' parking without concern. There was a dedicated parking spot in back but was not exactly where the unit info described and was very close to the back units. To avoid disturbing them, we decided not to use it.

We stayed at the Retha Victorian in Gunnison Colorado. This place was very comfortable and walkable to downtown Gunnison. We were looking for a good central location for hiking and Gunnison is great for that, with many great trails within a 1 hour drive. It was nice in the evenings to walk to different restaurants for dinner. Nice quiet town.
