NO TRUTH in what Christian will tell you.. I specifically inquired about the big, beautiful outdoor hot tub (see his current listings and also the Margaritaville website photos ) as this was our honeymoon!! and a hot tub was a very important feature to us. Christian assured me it was functioning and would be available. Nope!! - employees informed us that it has been down and actually non-functioning for over a year now! When I sent Christian a message about this, instead of possibly offering us an alternative “hot tub pass” to one of his thousands of other properties, he just ignored me. We went from getting quick Messages and responses from him to NO response or any return communication from him whatsoever. Thanks for that Christian. Way to man-up. Also — he never mentions that the beach in this cove here is so dirty and stinky that it’s really just used as a boat marina. We never saw one person get in or even TOUCH the water here in over 5 days which was our entire stay. Yes, nearby Coki beach is clean and beautiful, but it is a steep hike on a dirt road to get to, about 0.8 miles away or more from your unit. Not pleasant when you are a Senior. He mentions in-room washer / dryer. Nope. Then our dishwasher had broken seals and metal framing hanging from the inside. So the door was extremely difficult to shut and this told me that maintenance on the property is likely poor as well. His site does state “no security cameras on premises”.. Huh.. Must be why we could hear people screaming, laughing, hollering into the wee hours of the night, once at 4 AM. I had to call and alert the un-aware front desk more than once. So much for “curfew quiet time”. The restaurant and coffee shop employees act as though us “tourists” really bother them. Many of them weren’t pleasant, they don’t smile, don’t respond when you ask them a question, they are not excited about giving good service, they just want to be done with their job. Well maybe they should be. Best part of this resort is the beautiful landscaping which I will gladly tip my hat to the landscape designers and maintenance folks (except for the stinky and stagnant rain runoff pond built right next to the check-in lobby) . Also surprising for a higher end resort. St Thomas island is beautiful but I wouldn’t stay here again. Bottom line, don’t trust what Christian has to say. Good Luck out there people.
