Seven Gable's is one of those places that just feels magical. All the amenities of a hotel with all the charm of a bed & breakfast. Not to mention, the most beautiful property with spectacular views. My now hubby and I enjoyed staying here on our way up the coast just days before our wedding. We left feeling so relaxed and at ease. I wish we could have stayed longer. The location is wonderful and walkable. We will definitely be back!
Amazing location. Surprisingly bad food/coffee considering the location (central CA) and the price of the room. Staff was friendly but did not advise me in advance of window cleaning crew. They appeared suddenly walking outside my second story window, scaring me out of my wits! The crew was noisy but also friendly. Will definitely be back but would never pay full price ($600ish), only last minute Airbnb price ($375).
The place was great. Clean place and location was amazing. The only feedback I have is that the staff could be a little more friendly and make eye contact when you ask them a question. But overall nice place.

Location was excellent. Very good ambiance and breakfasts. Great restaurant only 2 blocks away. What wasn't clear from the listing: there are only 3 on-site parking spaces; others are on the street, so you may have to drag luggage farther than you think. There is no TV (a fact easy to miss on the amenities listing). Stairs are very narrow; carrying suitcases can be a problem. These issues are all fairly easy to deal with; what was not anticipated was the hefty additional fee charged to us for booking via Airbnb and not direct. Check-in is not the right time to inform a guest of this, and when I asked if it was included in the price I was quoted (and paid in advance) I was lied to; it was charged upon checkout. I am taking off a star for this from an otherwise very good, if expensive, hotel.

As of June 23rd 2021, The Seven Gables Inn is managed by the Kirkwood Collection. Our Inn welcomed its first guests in 1982 and since then, we have enjoyed every aspect of Innkeeping. For all reservation questions please feel free to send us a message as we will respond as soon as possible. We boast a total 25 individually decorated guest rooms, each with their own private bathroom and many with private outside entrances that only you would use. Every one of our lovely rooms have views of the Monterey Bay and the beautiful Monterey Peninsula coastline. Each room has a Keurig beverage maker.
