The Whitewater Chalet is such a beautiful cabin. We loved our stay there. We did some great hikes at New River Gorge National Park (Long Point Trail and Kaymoor Miners Trail). We visited the Grandview location prior to checking in and hiked the Grandview Rim Trail (one of the most outstanding views of the park). It is 1,400 feet above the river at Main Overlook and you can see 7 miles of the New River from one spot. After dinner, each evening, we walked on the trails behind the chalet - you can do a loop, going up through the wooded area, coming back on the meadow. We saw deer, lots of honeysuckle bushes, and loved listening to the birds - woodpeckers, cardinals and Carolina Wrens. Sherry kindly offered us a late check-out but unfortunately, we had to head back to Toronto bright and early. We will definitely return - the chalet is tastefully decorated (quality furnishings, comfy beds, lovely dishes, and it is so private and peaceful, sitting on the front deck. It's a 10/10!

What a great stay at the Whitewater Chalet my wife and I had! The pet friendly accommodation was perfect for my two dogs who enjoyed plenty of exercise on the trails behind the property. The Chalet is perfectly positioned on a private and peaceful space and is close to countless trails and attractions in the Summersville-New River Gorge area. Sherry was very attentive and thoughtful. We were so fortunate to find this location and can’t wait to comeback again!
