Found our way there just fine, even in the dark! The directions provided were helpful. Quiet area with private back deck and hot tub. Very short drive to the lake, kayak rentals, and Fat Eddie’s! Summersville lake is beautiful and the locals we interacted with were all wonderful. I advise anyone interested in hiking near the cabins to be very careful and bring a buddy! There are several beautiful (but surprisingly difficult) trails nearby in the Carnifax Ferry Battleground state park. That being said, the volunteer fire department were wonderful in their search and rescue mission when I injured my knee. And the staff at the ER in Summersville we’re phenomenal! Overall, would recommend. Cozy with a great hot tub!

Clean, comfortable and as advertised. Quiet peaceful surroundings. Convenient yet private and not in a tourist spot. Really enjoyed our stay!

The pros - the location is perfect! The drive in is beautiful with scenic views of the lake. Once you arrive, you can feel the calm & serenity around you. Within a short walk, you can arrive at the battlefield park with scenic overlooks of the Gauley River. The cabin size is great for 2 people and provided ample space for us. The cons - to say maintenance is lacking is an understatement. Walking in, you notice the smoky smell. The fireplace is a safety hazard with smoke stains all over the front - didn't feel safe using it. All of the faucets, including the shower, leaked. The bathroom faucet's hot water handle was tricky because you had to wiggle it around to find a spot that the water would stop. The toilet seat was held together with electrical tape and there was mold growing on walls and shower curtain. Didn't feel comfortable using hot tub because of these issues. Master bed was past end of life. Spend some $ to make $. Wouldn't feel comfortable recommending.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, but wished it was cleaner. The hot tub was fabulous though.

Perfect place for a peaceful getaway to unwind. I was surprised at how close to the lake it was but not too far from restaurants if you wanted to go out for dinner.
