We had three extremely peaceful nights here , waking up to the most amazing scenery. Would highly recommend staying here to recharge your life's batteries.

Husband & I, 1 year old twins, dog. We let ourselves in using the lock box - caravan was roasting! The thermostat was set to 30 degrees! We promptly turned it down, but it was nice to arrive to warmth. The vacuum cleaner filter was drying next to the sink - it seems that someone noticed it needed cleaned prior to hoovering and forgot - we managed to quickly do this before letting our little crawlers loose! The caravan was very clean otherwise. Unfortunately, we were slightly disappointed with the facilities on site being closed - no restaurant, pool, play area, shop, reception - everything shut down for winter, although there were no signs stating when they would be reopening. The listing should be updated with this info. The owner contacted us to advise us to bring our own towels. Bedding is provided but is ill fitting on the double bed. Toilet roll should have been provided but was forgotten - owner apologetic but nobody on site to provide it. Bring your own just in case...

We had a wonderful holiday at Kirkowan, although our entry to the Caravan gave us a little surprise - the boiler started to leak, no heating, no hot water and was a stormy night ! Thankfully the park manager has provided us another accommodation which was even better then our original booking however we had to compromise from 3 bedrooms to 2 bedrooms . It was no one’s fault so I won’t give any negative reviews. Overall, our stay was pleasant ! The park is next to the lake Heron with beautiful views. I recommend to book this place without having any doubts, you won’t regret it.
