A full bin of garbage was left in the garage by previous guests which made the entire home smell AWFUL upon check in. Awful as in rotten dirty diapers awful. Clearly the previous guests’ garbage was left for more than a few days to smell that bad. Laura was responsive, but a little defensive when I called to get assistance. The temps had recently dropped in Ouray so we not only walked into a smelly home, but one that wasn’t heated, and then had to open all the windows to air the place out. We had challenges with the thermostat and it defaulted back to homeowner settings multiple times- which was VERY frustrating! There was a wood burning fireplace which was misrepresented in the listing. The playpen is old, has little padding, found a medication on the floor in one of the bedrooms-online pics matched to a blood pressure pill… what if our baby would have found it ?! For the price I paid to stay here, I would expect more care, ie. heat on and property checked before we arrived.

We found the house just what we were hoping for. Quiet, comfortable and well appointed for the size of our group. We specifically enjoyed the bigger kitchen and dining area to enjoy nice meals together before and after our daily outings. The fireplace and bigger couch area made visiting at the end of the day cozy and relaxing. All of our group noted how very comfortable the beds were and how the linens were soft and high end. Beach Towels to take to the hot springs were very thoughtful and appreciated. This is a great house and did not feel like a rental but more like someones own home. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Laura was an excellent host. Very responsive. The place was very cutely decorated and spacious. The setup allowed our extended family to eat together and spend time together. The rooms were clean and the outside space allowed our little ones to run around on the grass and enjoy the views outdoors. Great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Laura’s house in Ouray. We walked to town, 1.3 miles, several times and appreciated the spacious main floor for playing family games and gathering in the mornings. The house was also very clean and organized. Thanks, Laura.
