This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Minutes away from the main park gate, you will find the comforts of home with the tranquility of the mountains. Since the cabin is located outside of the park gates, you won't have to worry about being locked in the park during evening hours. The freedom to explore surrounding areas is yours. The cabin comes with a large front porch, complete with rocking chairs and a swing. The partially covered back porch allows you to take in your morning coffee whilst enjoying a beautiful mountain view. (It can also serve as a romantic dinner location under the Stokes County sunset). Make yourself at home around the firepit where adults can relax after a long day of adventure seeking and the kids can make s'mores! Please note, the cabin is located off of one of the only two access roads to the park. As such, during peak season, please expect an increase in motor vehicle and bicycle traffic.
