Amazing cabin in a spectacular location! We had the best time, making the most of the wonderful hot tub, lovely log fire and incredible surroundings. Friendly and helpful hosts who were on hand, cabins are well-spaced so it didn’t feel at all cramped or crowded. Well-kitted out for cooking, slept 6 adults comfortably!

Had a great couple of days in the countryside. We enjoyed walking in the local area, the local pubs and a trip through the gorge itself. The team had the hot tub lit on the first day and we made full use of it on day two although it is labour intensive. Accommodation is good, would benefit from a couple of storage areas (some shelves in the living area and a drawer for cutlery & utensils) and hanging hooks. Also, if you have the wood burner on in the evening and get the place feeling warm - be warned that it will be quite a bit warmer on the mezzanine level and due to the lack of high windows it is tricky to get airflow there. The team onsite were brilliant and we felt very welcome.

Beautiful little stay with our three children totally recommend. The gorge walking with the children was a hit and the cave experience. The hot tub was a total hit with the kids and us adults. Thank you for having us.

My family, the dog and I had a great weekend stay at How Stean. The cabin was great. The girls loved the bunkbeds though given half the chance they would have slept in the Mezzanine with us!. The woodburning fire was cosy and great for roasting marshmallows. The woodburning hot tub was ready after tea on the day of arrival and was very much enjoyed. The staff had pre-prepared the hot tub on the first day but the next day it was left to us which was labour intensive and needed regular trips back and forth but was worth the effort. The first day we explored the gorge and tunnels and then did a local walk ending up in both of the local pubs! Both the pubs were welcoming and friendly and within walking distance from the accommodation. The second day we did the circular walk around Scar House Reservoir and then had lunch in Patley Bridge. The staff at How Stean were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed delicious scones and tea in the cafe. I would highly recommend How Stean.
