Get away from it all when you stay at this natural wonder. This wooden chalet sleeps 4 and is ideal for a small group of friends or family to escape to the country. Set amongst the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, it has everything you need for a weekend away including: → wood-fired hot tub → log burner → BBQ → fire pit → kitchen with sink, fridge, oven, crockery, cutlery, kettle + free tea and coffee. → Double bunk beds (2 x double beds, one on top of the other) all bed linen provided.

Amazing surrounding, the local walk in the gorge was great. Lots to do that we didn't get to. The hot tub was lovely as was the cafe on site. Staff were always friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful surroundings. Staff were polite & helpful. Really clean but did have a slight whiff of dog. We didn’t stay in advertised cabin & sofa was far too small. Cafe on site nice with amazing glass floor.

The lodges are located at the heart of How Stean Gorge, a natural wonder, nestled in the rolling green hills of the Yorkshire Dales, England. How Stean Gorge is located in Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's a quiet rural location and it's also one of the best areas to view dark skies. The small villages of Lofthouse and Middlesmoor are only approx a mile away, both have village pubs. Scar House Reservoir is a great place to walk. The reservoir and moorlands sustain a wide range of birds like Curlew, Black Grouse and Hen Harriers, making them a nationally important habitat.

Free parking is available straight outside the lodge. You can explore this part of Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty easily on foot or by car. There are plenty of way-marked footpaths and guidebooks available in our shop. Choose from short or long-distance routes. Our team is always on hand to help you make the most of your visit.
