Will And Sarah were sure to say hello to us and welcome us to their place as soon as we arrived. We had no coffee/tea in the lodge and Will was quick to source some for us at no expense which was appreciated. There was a small welcome pack in the lodge but do not expect to get the full hamper/wine as stated on their website; I presume you only get this if you book direct and not with Airbnb...we had been wondering if we would get this but not getting it did not bother us at all. There is a nice little honesty shop where you can get some wines and other bits next to the main house. The area was nice to walk in, despite the rain. There's some cute places to travel to nearby including the Wyken vineyard where we walked to and enjoyed a glass of wine and some nibbles. They have a good value deal at the vineyard for lunch too. Also, we really enjoyed getting massages down the road at the Langham Clinic, sampling the local pubs and relaxing in the hot tub!

From the tranquil surroundings, immaculately kept grounds and lakes to the warm homely lodge, we loved everything about Badwell Ash lodges. Having stayed in numerous lodges country wide Badwell Ash lodges did not disappoint. Pleasantly surprised to find handmade chocolates boxed on the bed, that was a nice touch. Considering temperatures were icy cold outside I did catch 2 carp (8lb & 10lb). Thank you for having us.

We had an amazing weekend staying in the Heron Lodge. Beautiful surroundings around the peaceful lake. Very spacious lodge and absolutely loved the spa shower. What made the experience extra special was the welcome basket with local produce and chocolates on the bed. Will definitely be returning.

Great place to wind down and relax from all the hustle. You just want to turn of the phone and enjoy the stay out there
