We had a wonderful stay at Hunter Lake. The home was full of nice touches like soft blankets, extra chairs for outside and a well-stocked kitchen. The surroundings were very peaceful and the beauty of the fall colors was spectacular. We were able to kayak, and take the paddle-boat out and even go swimming (though the water was pretty cold). A lovely place all around. Would have appreciated a washer/dryer but we made it work without.

Beautiful house on a peaceful lake! Our hosts were easy to talk to and let us stop by before check in and drop off our kayak. Would definitely stay again!

Quaint, cute, and cozy! This place can serve both as an annual vacation destination for rest and relaxation OR as a home base for daily excursions to a variety of exploration experiences in the region. Would loved to been able to park my motorcycle in the garage and to access the laundry unit in the basement, but for the price this place offers enough to return again!

Be prepared to have enough clean clothes to last your entire trip. Otherwise this place was great. The fishing is slim but very enjoyable to just relax on a kayak in the lake or have a small fire in the evenings after a bbq. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy and definitely plenty of natural beauty to keep you off your phones and away from the tv.

We had such a wonderful time! The lake has lots of fish in it that you can easily see around the dock. Pile, bass, bluegills, etc. There is not much around but it has a grocery store, ice cream shop, and even putt-putt about 5 minutes down the road for anything you might need. My husband and I LOVED using the aqua cycle around the lake. Most of the time we had the lake to ourselves and just paddled around. I will say there were many mosquitoes so make sure to bring bug spray, but that’s just lake life! The house was wonderful inside, very clean and more spacious than we expected. It had everything we needed for a great stay on the lake. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
