The "Arms" is a basic no frills bunk-house and most of the customers are walkers from the Appalachian Trail. It was pretty busy but I enjoyed my one night stay even though I was the odd man out; a driver not a walker! Everyone was very friendly and Alison is a super friendly and helpful host. I shared a 3 bunk room with 2 ladies but we were all so tired after our days out we were all fast a sleep by 9pm. I think everyone else was too. My one minor complaint is that I was right next to the aircon unit and it was loud. Had I walk 50 miles I'd probably be too tired to notice!

Alison is truly a host you want to have on your airbnb stays. She avails herself to any questios or concerns. I did not feel like an stranger, she makes your stay great. i also had a great companionship with her cats and dogs. If I am around I will of course stay over there

Alison is a gracious and welcoming host! I'd definitely recommend a stay if you are looking for a spot in this area.

Alison's hostel is a gem. Very fortunate to meet other travellers and share stories. Alison was always responsive if I needed her. The location is perfect if you're visiting Shenandoah NP and plenty of other sightseeing around. Made some friends and memories. :)
