The drive to the airport is about 15 minutes. Eglinton West subway station is 5 minutes walking from the house. Public transit Toronto Transit Commission (ttc.ca) is the public transport agency that operates buses, subway and streetcars in Toronto. The closest subway station is Eglinton West and takes you downtown in around 20 minutes. Bus line 32 runs on Eglinton Avenue, 63 on Oakwood Avenue and 109 runs on Marlee Avenue. To ride the TTC you can pay with cash ($3.25 CAD exact change), TTC tokens (available at subway stations and Metro grocery store) or with a PRESTO card. Remember to take a transfer when you first enter the system if paying with cash or tokens. A transfer ticket allows you to change to a different bus, subway or streetcar within a period of time from paying your fare. GO Transit is a regional public transit system serving the Greater Toronto Area (GTA: Toronto and surrounding cities). The main train station is Union Station located downtown. There is a GO bus station in Yorkdale Shopping Centre. With PRESTO card (prestocard.ca) you can pay for TTC, GO Transit and local transit in the GTA. You can buy a PRESTO card at Shoppers Drug Mart and select subway stations. You can open an account and recharge your card online.
