The River House was amazing! The photos and description don’t do it justice. The area is very quiet. About 20’ from the back deck is the beautiful White River and there’s just nature on the far bank. We saw bald eagles, 3 fawns, bluebirds and other wild birds. Freda went out of her way to show generosity and kindness and from other reviews it seems that’s just the way she is. It also seems that’s how things are done in and around Mt.View, Arkansas. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly. The house is spacious with many windows allowing views of nature.The sunroom is a great place to enjoy the morning light and drink coffee.The water tasted great. The kitchen is very well stocked and we made and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner and several more meals there. Downstairs is a kitchenette apartment. Our kids had their own space. We enjoyed the firepit and gas log fireplace. Nearby is Blanchard Springs Cave and it’s mind-blowing! We highly recommend the River House and this host!!
