The location is divine, but the house is not. And for the price I sort of expected it to have better beds. The sheets were clean but the blankets weren't. The carpets need a clean and the dishwasher and stove are not very easy to operate. You can't sit outside at night because there are these awful big flying huhu bugs. But there is a lovely conservatory with great big windows. There was no air conditioning and for that price I would have hope for aircon, especially as it was the hot time of the year. I guess I should have checked that first on the listed amenities. I couldnt be fussy as we booked late and there wasnt a lot available. We were glad to have a place to stay but arent planning on going back.
Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
