This is the ideal escape for boat and fly fishing enthusiasts! This Lake Tarawera cottage is situated across from a permanent lakeside residence at Te Miro Point, Lake Tarawera. Rainbow Cottage catches the sun and is naturally warm in the winter, making it an ideal getaway for the keen fisherman. Wi-Fi is available too for all of your holiday snaps (please be aware that due to the remote location service can be erratic). The large Rainbow Trout in the lake are waiting for those looking to spend idyllic days on the water fishing. As you enter Rainbow Cottage you will find yourself in an open-plan living and dining area. The dining area leads to the cosy kitchen. There is a small bench top oven, with a gas cooker on top and a BBQ is also available. The kitchen leads onto the master bedroom which is fitted with a queen bed. Bedroom 2 is situated next to bedroom 1 and is fitted with 2 single beds. Guests can also stay in the attached Studio Bedroom with external access. Rainbow Cottage has direct access to Lady's Bay - a secluded sandy bay with jetty and mooring facilities. There's also kayaks and a dinghy available for your stay. Excellent fly fishing is available in the adjacent Waitangi Bay, providing trophy fish for the fly fishing enthusiast! The property is family friendly with access to 2 safe swimming beaches, as well as a shared tennis court by arrangement. There is ample parking both for boats and vehicles. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis.
