Marian is a gracious host! She was flexible with check in time and responsive to questions about local spots to check out. The bed was super comfortable! The room and the bathroom were both clean and private. I would stay there again.

Marian is very polite & generous host. I'm sure she would accommodate any items or help requested. I personally love animals, so a well behaved dog and 2 cats not an issue. Of course a dog will bark when a guest arrives for the first time. Although the home was once a B&B, it's not run as such which is stated. More of a hostel setup, but more luxury & privacy, to a degree. Keep in mind there most likely will be others rooming & son present. It's a shared 2nd floor with 3 rooms & attic loft. Bedroom & bed was cozy. Love the memory foam and soft blanket. Another comforter was available also. WIndow AC could've been removed prior to visit, but was removed 2nd day. Understandable with warmer temps leading up to my stay, or if room wasn't used in awhile, wasn't a thought to remove. Parking directions & specific entry door could've been mentioned. I was arriving after dark. Driveway and porch entrance not well lit, if at all. $50-$75 would be fair for those who tread light.

This was a last minute booking for me due to a change in travel plans. Marian was extremely accommodating and went out of her way to ensure I was able to get what I needed and where I needed to be. She also enjoys conversation if you do, otherwise she leaves you to enjoy your stay. The room and bathroom were identical to the posted pictures and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable as was the temperature of the house. The yard and porch are inviting if you like to sit outside. The porch furniture is comfortable. The house is on a main throughfare street, but it is set back from the road. The trees muffle the street noise which fluctuates based on the time of day. At night and early morning it is very quiet. The animals (kittens and dog) are short hair or fur, there was none able to be seen anywhere. The animals will lift your spirits if you like animals. If you don't they will likely leave you alone, but it is a home with pets. Enjoyable stay with an accommodating host.

Marian is a great host, transported me to/ from the train station and offered to drive me places (though I walked - everything is walkable). House is very interesting with family history which Marian can share. GREAT screened porch area.
