This was my third time staying in the Art Light House and it remains among my favorite vacation rentals. It’s a beautiful, quiet, calming space in a very central location. Great walks in every direction. I miss the views already and look forward to my next visit.

Susan's house was perfect for a weekend getaway in Astoria. It's in a convenient location and has a great view of the river. It was clean and comfortable, and checking in was super easy. Also, hanging out with Capone was awesome!

We had a great girls weekend! Susan’s place was perfect for yoga, reading, puzzling. Capone the cat was the best part! Astoria was so fun with the art walk and local museums. We couldn’t get to everything in 1 trip so will definitely be back. 🥰🐈‍⬛

Susan's art space home was perfect for our visit to Astoria. The place was very clean and had everything needed for a great stay. Large living space with lots of windows and great view. Lots of interesting and beautiful art and even a place where you can create your own. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and beds very comfortable. Very quiet and relaxing but within very easy walking distance from great breweries, restaurants and shops. Capone the cat was the perfect host and loved to sit next to you and snooze. Susan was an extremely responsive and friendly host and we were even able to check in early/check out a bit later as her schedule allowed, which was wonderful. I highly recommend for a peaceful, thoughtful Astoria visit. Hope to come back again soon.

Away from the busy downtown of Astoria, Susan's house is a place of light and stories; a place for sitting on the perch of the front porch or deck; for getting lost in the view of the town, the bridge, the river, the clouds, the deer, the birds; for exploratory walks around the neighborhood. In the cooler mornings and evenings there is a cozy gas fireplace for keeping warm while reading from the extensive library with a fresh cup of tea or coffee. Capone the cat was equally welcoming to his home. Friendly, communicative, and completely comfortable with us. There are many new additions to Astoria in the last few years and Susan was an enthusiastic guide to new restaurants and old standards, gallery shows and performances, local shops and sites. With so much to explore the time went by much too quickly. We will have to return. Thank you Susan and Capone for such a lovely stay.
