Very comfortable home. The home was clean but a lot of bugs (comes with being lakeside). The appliances and hardware were recently updated and the kitchen is very nice. There was no baby equipment (high chair, crib, baby gates) as stated in the description and as we requested. The stairs to the loft are very narrow and tight and all metal. It rained most of the time that we were there and we were very worried about slipping and falling on the metal stairs. The hot tub would never get above 92 degrees. The grill was convenient and we used it but we couldn’t find a lighter anywhere in the home so we drove into town for a lighter. The game room was fun and the kids enjoyed it.

Our family spent a long weekend at Alex’s place for the 2024 eclipse. The house was very comfortable and worked well for us and our preschooler. The area is nice and quiet. The foosball table, ping pong table, and other games were a really fun perk. All the TVs were Roku TVs, which made it really easy to stream everything. Host was very helpful and responsive. Definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, we experienced multiple issues from the moment we walked in the door of this property. I wrote out a super long review detailing it all, but since it was too long I’ll just provide bullet points: - home was full of toxic air freshener plug-ins (likely to mask to the smell coming from the rug) - couldn’t find any dishes to cook with and finally checked the dishwasher which was full of rancid, unwashed dishes - No dish soap for hand-washing said dishes (host sent some) - No coffee pot (host over-nighted one!) - not enough towels - ants in trash/kitchen - no extra trash bags - toilet in main bath wouldn’t flush - rug smelled of pet urine and didn’t appear to have even been vacuumed - no instructions on how to work hot tub, where extra items were located, or how to access the loft Despite this overall quite negative experience, the host only offered us $250, so long as we didn’t write an honest review of our experience. In the end we contacted Airbnb who made it right.

We loved that there were so many things to do here and it was decorated beautifully! The whole family had a great weekend stay!
