Our stay was dreamlike! We hosted our February wedding there and it was so perfect. The views are breathtaking and so peaceful, great for photos too. The host is very kind and responsive. We enjoyed our nightly soaks in the jacuzzi too. The distance to the river is around 300ft incase you were wondering, it’s a little hard to tell from the photos. There’s a little bit of an incline but we carried chairs down for our ceremony and it was completely manageable. The cabin is so spacious and lovely. The sauna is a little smaller than it looks in the photos, there’s enough room for about two people, three if you squeeze lol. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of dinnerware and serving dishes. The single downside is there are no pets allowed so our fur baby couldn’t come. If you’re thinking of staying aging here or hosting your wedding here I promise you will not regret get it! This cabin is a very special place. Thank you so much🤍
Let’s just say that it took my family and I about an hour to come out of our shock upon entering and feeling the space out. Never have we stayed in such a beautiful grand home like the River Mountain lodge. We literally did not want to leave the house for the entire weekend because there was so much to enjoy at the place and outdoor area. Even in spite of a power outage, we made the best of it due to the joy we felt experiencing a dream family weekend. We hope to get the opportunity to live that unforgettable time again. Thank you!
My family and I couldn’t be more happy with our stay. Our host was explicitly clear with check in and check out instructions and was even responsive to a few questions despite it being the Thanksgiving holiday. Half of us drove up from California and the other down from Washington and we truly couldn’t have booked a better home or location that was right down the middle. The home itself is beautiful, so spacious, and cozy. We were able enjoy all the amenities the game room and hot tub being everyone’s top favorites. Also being able to walk down the creek and into some trails was another highlight. We appreciated the size of the open style kitchen where we were able to cook up a feast and all fit around the same table for our Thanksgiving dinner. All in all the experience was like no other if you’re ever in need of booking for a large family group size and surround yourself with nature all around this is the place.

This place is absolutely stunning and HUGE! The view is incredible. We took advantage of the stocked game room, massage chair and hot tub. Having two kitchens was a bonus! The only bummer was very limited cell service from the house but we made do. Would definitely stay here again!

Historic Grants Pass
-The heart of downtown Grants Pass has been designated a National Historic District because of its historic buildings.
-First hung on July 20, 1920, the "It’s the Climate" sign is a tribute to a great place to live, work, play and that we have great weather!
- The lower portion of the river flows through Josephine County, where it joins the Rogue about five miles downstream from Grants Pass.
Named for Oregon pioneer Lindsay Applegate, who encountered the river during his 1848 trip south to the California goldfields, the Applegate River was subjected to intensive, large-scale placer gold mining from the 1850s to the 1890s. Mining and later irrigation withdrawals have adversely affected the stream's anadromous fishery, but the lower river still draws winter steelhead anglers. In 2008, efforts are underway to reduce barriers to fish passage and improve salmon-spawning habitat.
The Applegate Valley—long a sleepy, rural area located off the region's main travel routes—supported small farms, ranches, and sawmill communities until well after World War II. The mountainous watershed's occasional propensity for extreme high-volume flows and destructive winter floods led the Army Corps of Engineers to construct, in 1979-1981, the Applegate Dam as part of its Rogue Basin flood-control project. The scenic Applegate Valley's popularity has grown significantly since that time, with a steady influx of new residents building large homes on wooded ten-to-twenty-acre parcels and the development of vineyards and wineries.
