Conflicting check in times on the website meant we arrived “late” for our check in. There was no specific lodge number given to us once booking was confirmed. We ended up sleeping in the wrong lodge for the first night which had no bedding and had not been cleaned. One reason why we were late was because the description to the lodge was very vague e.g: “…after the council houses..” “opposite farm…” etc. For someone who is not a local it was extremely hard to find the councils houses and farm. Also no street names were mentioned which made it extremely hard to find the location especially after dark. When we called the contact number to help us find the property nobody answered. Again no answer to text messages. Would advise to communicate the exact location and lodge details before arrival! The best thing was the location (once we found it). It was peaceful, quiet and private. It was lovely waking up with a view to the fishing lakes. Nearby rabbit farm was a huge hit.
