Charming family country cottage, perched on a hill in a small hamlet located in the heart of the Périgord Vert area in Dordogne. The stone house offers magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and is perfect for a peaceful family holiday. The house has a private garden and swimming pool. Inside there are 4 spacious double rooms which can comfortably welcome a group of 8 adults/children and 2 babies. There is a chimney, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Perched on a hill in a small hamlet, this family cottage has been recently renovated with taste and is a perfect blend of local architecture, comfort and design. There are magnificent views of the local countryside from the pool area and main bedroom. It’s the ideal spot for a family vacation and is ideally set up for welcoming kids. You’ll find everything you need to have a perfect family holiday. The area itself is peaceful and relaxing, even though the cottage itself is in the center of the hamlet. People live here all year round, attracted by the peaceful environment. This is why parties are strictly forbidden. We want to respect the well being of our neighbors in this small, peaceful place. OUTDOORS The surrounding garden is completely enclosed and has a decent sized salt water swimming pool (6 x 3m), which itself is protected by fencing. There are 2 sun loungers, and a pick-nick table for adults. For the kids they have their own mini pick-nick table and a mini cottage with a slide and kitchen. A BBQ is also provided. The swimming pool, which can be accessed by two, lockable gates, is fully cordoned off by fencing. If you are coming with kids, please ensure gates are closed and locked to ensure maximal security. The pool is also equipped with an alarm. Children should not be left unattended in the pool area. The pool is available from the 1st of June until the 30th of September. A protective insulated covering helps to maintain the pool at a stable temperature. Generally the water is at the perfect temperature as the pool is exposed to the sun all day long. INDOORS The inside of the cottage is composed of a large living area with a wooden stove, a dining area with an extendable table for 6-8 people. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher, induction hobs, an oven, microwave and fridge. There are 2 bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom is independent and has a shower. The downstairs bathroom has a bath / shower and a washing machine. We have a wooden cot (120 x 60 cm), with an accompanying baby nest, a travel cot and mattress, a high-chair, a changing matt, and a small baby bath. There are also some toddler toys and a small, wooden kitchen. All available upon request. We provide sheets and towels for a maximum of 8 people and 2 babies. For stays longer than 7 days a second set of sheets and towels will be provided. We provide 8 pool towels, which can be washed in the washing machine if required. We also provide plastic cups and plates for the kids but also for the pool area as all glass is strictly forbidden in and around the pool area for security reasons. Before confirming your booking, please read the house rules in detail as you will be required to abide by the aforementioned rules upon booking confirmation. There are no extra cleaning costs. We only ask that you gather all towels and sheets and place them in the bags provided, empty the fridge, the bins, wash and put away the dishes and quickly pass the hoover before leaving. This small effort will enable us to optimize the time between check-in and check-out on the same day and of course continue to offer no extra charges for cleaning. Thanks for understanding.
