A very modern and spacious apartment. The kitchen and bathroom have been recently refurbished and are excellent. Photos and description are very accurate. We cooked our evening meals in the apartment ( as eating out is expensive) and the kitchen has everything you would need to make a meal. Disa was excellent with her communications, both before and during our stay. The apartment is some way from the city and any supermarkets etc, so probably need a rental car ( which we had), as I don’t know what public transport (bus’s) are like. I would recommend Disa’s apartment to anyone looking at staying in Reykjavík.

Overall, this place gets five stars. It’s about 25 min. from Reykjavik and 30 min. from the airport. So, essentially in the middle. We initially chose this place because our first Airbnb canceled due to some internal issues the host had with Airbnb. Sketchy. We also rented an EV, and there are charging stations outside. However, we ended up swapping vehicles due to some issues. Anyway, we were very happy to find that Disa’s place was available since we were very close to our expected arrival time, and everyone advised to book accommodations well in advance. My husband and I look for a few things when booking homes. Cleanliness, free parking, proximity to where we want to go, fully stocked kitchen, and washer and dryer are a must. Disa’s place had all of this and more. The one thing that took us by surprise that we never encountered before was that this was obviously still her everyday home. We found the closet space pretty much full. Which meant putting luggage on beds to access.

Great Apartment and great location if you have a car and don't mind a 15 min drive into Reykjavik. It was perfect for what we wanted. Set in a beautiful small town just 15-20 min away from the bustle of Reykjavik, close to good local restaurants and a grocery store for daily necessities and snacks. We could drive into the city or easily do day trips for all major sites like the Golden Circle with the waterfalls and glaciers. Disa was very accessible and helpful. Great place to stay - Recommended.

Great place to stay at if you want to be close to the city but still want privacy. The apartment was extremely clean and felt like a “home”. The host was great and gave clear instructions on how to get into the building.
