Beautifully cozy, clean & white room with an amazing view over a greenery garden & only 200m from the sea. The area is very quiet, safe and private. Room has its own bathroom, balcony, small kitchenette, A/C , heating & amazing owners like us All the rooms are air-conditioned, with a TV and their own private bathroom. Two of those rooms have kitchenette with cooking rings for you to prepare some light meals and all the rest have a small cooking ring in order to prepare your greek morning coffee, enjoying the silence of the place.

Zoe has been super nice to me and very helpful from the start to finish. I lived for 3 months with them and I had a great time. The room was exactly what I needed and therma is a beautiful and peaceful town. Ikaria is a very special place 😊
I stayed in at The Glaros AirBnb for 40 nights in September and October 2019 (off-season for the win!) and it was one of the most relaxing stays I have ever had. This will be my go-to spot when I return to Ikaria as it was so reasonably priced and has all the bare necessities that I needed for my stay. There is so much good that I can say about the room, Zoe and her family that run the AirBnb, the maid, Therma and Ikaria in general. Firstly, this AirBnb is in the perfect location as it is tucked into the valley, just a few minute walk into the hot spring town of Therma. If you haven't googled how incredible and how uniquely beneficial these radon hot springs are to one's health, then I suggest you take a moment to do so. During my stay, I had the morning ritual of walking down to the hot spring, soaking for a bit, then swimming out into the bay, soaking for a few more minutes, then walking home for a nice cup of greek coffee. If only I could run away to Ikaria and do this every single day for the rest of my life, I think I too, would live as long as many of this Blue Zone Island's inhabitants. (If you haven't looked up Blue Zones yet, do it now. It is yet, another compelling reason to visit this sacred, little gem of an island). The AirBnb also has ample parking across the road, which came in handy when I realized that I would need to rent a car because public transportation on the island was a bit inconsistent/unreliable. Secondly, Zoe and her family were great communicators and they were the friendliest and most hospitable hosts I have had to date using AirBnb. Not only did they respond with action pretty much immediately to all of my requests during my long stay, Zoe gave me tons of recommendations of places to see, local cuisine that was suitable for my vegan diet, tips on fun events to check out and she even helped me find a repair place when my computer crapped out on me. Throughout my stay, I heard from Zoe almost daily making sure that I was enjoying my stay and seeing if she could help me with anything. The cool thing about this was that Zoe and her family were not at all intrusive. I was checked in on via texts and I had ample privacy. I also want to give a shout out to the sweet maid who was super accommodating with my needs for an extra wash cloth or towel here and there. She was also thorough and super sweet and non-invasive. It seems she always had perfect timing when coming to clean my room. I really enjoyed her presence and her energy. Thirdly, the island of Ikaria is a complete treasure. If you are debating between here and anywhere else in Greece, come here if you want beautiful nature, perfect beaches, coves and natural hot springs and you want deep restorative relaxation. Therma was perfect for me because it is small, quiet and pretty much centered around a cute little bay and hot springs. It is also right next to the capital town of Agios Kirikos where you can find the highest concentration of restaurants, cafes and bars, clothing/gift and grocery stores on island (if you feel like getting out on the town). I would highly recommend going during off-season, in September and the beginning of October (or I have heard in May and June) because there were not many tourists and I frequently had beautiful beaches, coves and hot springs all to myself. I mostly spent time on that side of the island, but I can vouch that the other side is also gorgeous and it does have more sand on the beaches versus pebbles or rocks. I have heard that the other side is a bit more touristy, but the whole island was pretty quiet while I was there. Great location and host! Very friendly and helpful and we would probably visit again. Only thing is that there is a small tax you have to pay with cash and is not mentioned in the listing (it could also be included in the price). The host kept messaging me about it to remind me. Not the best value for money in my opinion, as the place could use some renovation or a lower price per day. Rusty and ready to break rails in the balcony could be dangerous for families with kids.

The neighbourhood is the quietest and the safest place in the world! You can even sleep with the doors and windows open as no one is going to disturb you or even rob you!
In a distance of 200m you can find the small square of Therma with its traditional cafes, restaurants and confectioneries.The beach is just under the square and it is divided by a small marina into the sandy and the pebble side.
It is easily accessible and especially friendly to kids.
Ikaria is well known since the antiquity for its radioactive springs. The exceptional therapeutic properties of the Ikarian hot springs are well known world widely as researches have also proven that many of these springs are unique in the world.
The SPA facilities have been recently renovated and are easily accessible for everyone; targeting special patient groups of rheumatism, arthritis, spondyloarthritis, arthralgias, coxalgias, myalgia, chronic sterilities and insufficiencies.
In 2km distance you can find the capital city of Ikaria, Agios Kirikos.
Evdilos is 40km from Agios Kirikos, Raches is 50km from Agios Kirikos and Armenistis is 42.
But don't get tricked, the distances might seem short but the scenery is very rocky as a result for the roads to be full of curves and U turns. You can't speed up for more 40km/h. It's safe to drive around but always keep on the right and with a max speed of up to 40km/h. ;)
Transportation to Therma
Therma is only 2km away from Agios Kirikos, the capital city of the island.
The connection between Agios Kirikos and Therma is quite frequent by a local bus or if you prefer a sea scenery you can use the traditional and idyllic local boat.
From the airport you can take a taxi but a bus might also be available from time to time (depending on the season).
From Evdilos, the estimated time to reach Therma is 45 minutes. Evdilos is connected to Agios Kirikos by a local bus every morning but If you arrive by night, the only mean of transportation to get to Therma is by taxi (unless you rent a car).
We do offer transportation services -hiring some trustworthy taxi drivers on the island-. If you would like to make a reservation you can always contact us in advance for your own convenience.
