The Bothwell Hotel, once a pub and now run as a charming Airbnb, has a wealth of period features and offers comfortable unfussy accommodation. Where the original bar areas were, there is now a little cafe & Whisky Bar. Perfect for lovers of good coffee, & honouring the original Scottish settlers, good whisky. An ideal stopping off point for those heading for a fishing or hiking holiday, or in my case, a family wedding.

Such a wonderful hotel to stay at. Everyone was super friendly and it was convinetly located and easily accessiable! Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Greg’s place. Really pretty old town and the building has a lot of heritage charm. We were greeted by Micaela who is just delightful and made our stay outstanding with her warm welcome and thoughtful touches, like homemade biscuits! Check in was easy once we contacted Greg. The ad/photos don’t show the bathrooms but they are neat and tidy with hot showers. We weren’t sent any check in info - I think this was air bnb’s fault! Greg responded immediately when we asked and provided us with all of the info. It was super easy and we would come back again for sure. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
