Imagine yourself in a comfortable, spacious and unique home that is both rich with history yet complete with an up to date kitchen and bathroom. Wander around the heritage precinct of the village, whose colonial history reaches back two hundred years, or simply enjoy the lush gardens. A relaxed hour's drive will see you in Hobart, or remain in the district and visit wineries, distilleries, the magnificent South West National Park and Tasmania's Central Plateau lakes. The accommodation is the upper floor of a double storey, sandstone heritage home. The allocated guest area upstairs includes two queen bedrooms, a sitting room, a sewing room which can be used as a study, a dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Guests can also relax on the wide, sheltered verandah or in the beautiful gardens.

We really enjoyed are stay in Hamilton , a small historic town with a fantastic hotel. The house was fantastic with a great private garden . There was enough supplies for the 5 breakfasts which we both enjoyed . Colin greeted us and asked each day if we needed any thing extra . Very central to explore the district would highly advise a stay at this unique house .
Great communication from the hosts from booking to leaving. The house is almost 200 years old and is large and spacious. The hosts were very thoughtful providing cereal and bread for breakfast. Lovely home with a beautiful garden in a historic village. Highly recommended!
Beautifully appointed historic home in peaceful setting. Comfortable beds with lovely linen. Had a great nights sleep. Mehves provided us with everything we needed. We will definitely return!

Hamilton, located on the River Clyde, is a small, historic village containing a number of buildings that date back up to 200 years. The local pub, built in the 1830s, also includes a cafe and post office. The nearest grocery store and service station are in the next town, 15 mins along the main road.
There is parking right in front of the house. You can take a walk around the town to explore, but you will need a vehicle to go grocery shopping or to visit attractions outside the village.
