Troed y Rhiw is a 23 acre organic farm. Established in 2008, it is owned and run by Nathan Richards and Alicia Miller. The farm’s ethos is built around a belief in the necessity of farming sustainably in the 21st century. We produce a wide range of vegetables, herbs, soft fruit and flowers sold through our box scheme, at producer’s markets and to restaurants and health food shops. We believe in locally grown food, sold to the local community, keeping food miles to a minimum and reducing the carbon footprint of the farm. The farm also has a small herd of Highland cattle, pigs, chickens and lovely farm dog named Bean. Troed y Rhiw offers quality accommodation on a working organic farm. Stay in our beautifully restored 18th century barns and explore the West Wales coastline and countryside. Troed y Rhiw is just over a mile from Cymtydu beach on Cardigan Bay’s Heritage Coast. This Special Area of Conservation supports a colony of some 130 Bottle Nose Dolphins, Porpoises, and Grey Seals that are frequently seen close to shore. There is easy access to the coastal path and other footpaths and the farm is a few miles from some of Ceredigion’s best sandy beaches including National Trust beach Penbryn, Tresaith and Llangrannog. The lovely fishing village of New Quay is just three miles up the road.
