Excellent residence in quiet location. Close to many wonderful attractions

Great location for us as we were attending a wedding at The Ancorage. Beautiful walking path down past The Ancorage then along the beach is lovely too. House was as per the photos. Clean aside from some sand on the floors as to be expected with a beach house location! Lovely bathroom products supplied and a surprise welcome bottle of wine on arrival! Would stay again.

The property is beautiful! It's clearly someone's home, with some personal belongings left in various places, so thank you to the owner for allowing others to use your lovely place! The listing mentions a garage, which is great to have. Only a single car will fit in as the owner's belongings take up the space that another car would need. Not really a big deal as there's a driveway & street parking available. Note that the key is held in town about 8 minutes drive away, so you need to go there to pick up the key & drop it off after your stay. I had some issues with the property management company: * Before check-in, I received an email asking me to click through to a website with a dodgy URL & send pictures of my credit card & photo ID. The email also said I had $800+ more to pay prior to my arrival. Given that sending ID & a credit card was never mentioned in the listing and I had fully paid Airbnb, this looked like a phishing scam. What a surprise to learn that this was legitimate! Aware of recent Medibank & Optus data leaks, I refused to do most of that, sending through a highly redacted partial ID only through Airbnb chat, which they accepted. * Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to check-in at 2pm. I needed to be out of town the first night, but wanted to pick up the key either at 1pm or first thing the next morning. I rang the contact number I had been sent & was told that if I didn't pick up the key *AT 2PM* (not after 2pm) on the first day, I would have to pick it up *AT 2PM* the next day, because this was the time that someone was allocated to give me a key. Clearly, this was ridiculous, but that's what the person insisted, even after putting me on hold to ask someone else. I asked they check again & I received a message later about a process where I could pick the key up the next morning. This was just poor customer service to give such incorrect information. The email/chat person was much better to deal with, but of course, information is a little slower back & forth. Be aware of these check-in issues. Once you get into the property itself, it's great! Check-out was likewise straightforward, dropping the key off in town into a little slot.
