Overall had a nice stay. Shower drain was backed up, however it was fixed within 30 minutes or so of me messaging Iris and Tania. Place was a bit tough to find, I asked a few of the neighbors for help in my broken Spanish until I found one that knew where it was. I’d imagine it’d be easier to find if one is fluent in Spanish. There is a bad smell present if you leave without the fan on, I am eco conscious so I tend to turn everything off when leaving. The smell dissipates quickly with the window open and fan on. It is its own little oasis in a small village with a beautiful garden, double locks to feel safe, comfortable bed, and easy to walk or catch a tuk tuk to wherever one needs to go in the area. Locals are friendly and Iris and Tania are both responsive. Thank you.

Let me start with the good: The yard is charming and there were plenty of towels. Now the actual way our stay went: First, the host did not send check-in instructions. I contacted her the night before asking for them. She finally responded but gave us the wrong number for the local contact, so getting there was difficult. When we contacted her about the "free parking on premises" she gave us the wrong name of the guy who could provide the parking spot. Then he charged us, so it wasn't free parking nor was it on premises. I told Iris on Saturday that he charged us, and she ignored that as well. Later that evening when we were able to get our car into the paid parking spot, we realized that THERE IS NO POTABLE WATER. She doesn't even offer a small ecofilter (they only cost about $25) so people can filter their own water. Also, there's NO HOT WATER. There is one of those crappy hot water heater shower heads (we're familiar with how they work), but this one didn't work at all.

Awesome place. Right by the lake. Cute. It smells a bit like mold but it’s cute. Amazing neighbors. Worth it.

Íbamos 5 personas , 3 personas durmieron en cama y dos en las camas inflables pero estas no sirven , prácticamente durmieron en el suelo incómodos porque se desinflan, deben cambiarlas , y otro punto importante es que deben aclarar bien la ubicación ya que el último tramo de unos 4 km para llegar es un pésimo camino de piedras para carros pequeños sedan, y deben dar el contacto del guardián para que el indique bien la ubicación para no perderse por lo demás la estadía fue buena, el lugar es tranquilo y el jardín de la casita es muy bonito para cocinar y comer ahí

The cabin Las dos Hermanas is a very nice place in the village of Tzunumá and located near the beautiful lake Atilan in the mountains of Guatemala. The cosy garden has some nice places to sit in the sun or shadow. The beds are comfortable and clean and the kitchen is clean and equipped with what you need. Around the corner there is a tienda where you can buy whatever you need for breakfast. Most people will get there by boat but we arrived by car. If your not afraid to enter the small roads of the village for a small fee they offer a place to park your car. The village is quiet and the people very friendly. You can rent a private boat to visit the villages of the lake or you can use the public ferries. If you really want to feel how a mountain village is this is your opportunity!
