Casa Durango is a charming 3 bedroom 1 bath, dog friendly, 1300 sq ft home located on Durango's northwest grid. Our home was originally built in 1896 and was updated to include a new kitchen, bathroom, interior paint and furnishings. Casa Durango is a charming 3 bedroom 1 bath, 1300 sq ft home located on Durango's northwest grid. Our home was originally built in 1896 and was recently updated to include a new kitchen, bathroom, interior paint and furnishings. It still has that vintage feeling but has all the modern amenities. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils and the dining table comfortably seats four and does have an additional leaf to seat a few more people. The living room has a L-shaped couch, large ottoman, a 40" Samsung Smart TV, YouTubeTV and high speed WiFi. Case Durango is equipped with central air conditioning and there are ceiling fans in two of the bedrooms. One bedroom has a new comfortable king bed, the middle bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has a twin daybed with trundle mattress and all have high quality linens and pillows. The third bedroom also has a large beanbag, 36" Flat screen TV and many shelves containing kids games and puzzles. The backyard is fenced, artificial turn to hang out on and there is a gas BBQ on the deck. During the summer there is an outdoor dining set on the backyard deck which seats six people and there are four bikes (cruisers) to cruise around town on.

Perfect spot for us while visiting family in Durango.
This is a nicely updated home in a great location. The mattress was really good. The welcome bottle of wine, self-branded, was super. And the host was incredibly responsive.
We had a great time staying at Casa Durango. The location is great, and the house is homey, comfortable, and practical. We would be happy to book here again if we return to Durango!
Great home on the north end of town. The house is actually bigger than it looks in the photos. The fenced backyard was awesome to be able to simply let the dog out when we did not feel like walking her. The yard looks like it would be great in the summer. We were here in March and there was snow on the ground each morning. It melted away each day. The kitchen has everything one would need to prepare a masterpiece; super nice stuff available for use. Everything was organized and easy to find too. The beds were comfy except the trundle bed on the floor. I suggest a kid sleeping in that one and not an adult. The bedrooms are all a nice size. There only being one bathroom could be an issue for some if you have a full house. We only had 3 so it was not a big deal. It is a large bathroom with shelves for your stuff, not much counter space to leave anything out. Great shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. My kid told me to buy the same shampoo & conditioner. I would go back
Nice house with a simple layout. Perfect for 3 of us to each have a bedroom. Good location, easy access to downtown Durango.

There are so many great outdoor activities in and around the Durango area: Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Rail Road, Mesa Verde National Park, Trimble Hot Springs, Durango Mountain Resort, Sky Ute Casino, Telluride, Gold Medal fly fishing, Animas River, horse back riding, golf, skiing, Jeep tours, rafting, hunting, kayaking, historic district, shopping, world class mountain and road biking, scenic tours, motorcycle touring.
The Animas River is only a three minute walk from the house. If you choose to walk downtown, the swing bridge over the Animas River is only blocks away as is the bike path. Historic downtown Durango is less than a mile from the house and an easy walk. Walk, hop on one of our cruisers (during the summer months) or take the Durango Trolly (stops 1 block from the house) into the historic downtown district for dinner, shopping, bars or to just wander around.
Our house is one block from the Durango trolly stop which will take you into Historic Downtown for $1/person. We have four adult cruisers and helmets available if you want to bike into downtown.
