Wake up hearing the waves in your ocean-view room and be at the beach in less than a two minute walk! Discover the perfect home-away-from-home and relax in a comfy hammock between surf sessions at one of the best surf spots in town. Your comfortable room has one King bed and one Twin bed and comes with its own private bathroom. The shared kitchen is fully equipped and you can enjoy spacious living/dining areas with outdoor seating. Come stay with us to enjoy the best of Playa Venao! There are five rooms for rent in the house, so if you need space for more than 2 adults, please contact us to arrange renting multiple rooms for your trip. You can even rent out all five rooms and have the whole house for your group! Our house is one of the original buildings ever built in Playa Venao. It features traditional architecture, stunning views of the whole bay from its wrap-around porch and second-floor balcony, and a forest setting where monkeys and parrots enjoy the fruit from our mango trees. We have renovated the house to restore it to its intended beauty, while adding modern touches and updates. We have retained its rustic charm, high ceilings, and authentic feel. The house is located up a steep hill, but it's only a 2 minute walk to the beach - you just walk down our outdoor stairs and down the driveway across the road.

Meredith’s and her family’s home was amazing in all ways! The house itself is a treasure- an old lodge feeling place converted into their home. Our room and bathroom were huge and totally private with everything we could need. Great bed. Great AC. (Needed the AC. It was hot!! I loved that the house water is drinkable when it came time to brush my teeth! The upstairs kitchen and eating space are huge and lead to the upstairs porch and gorgeous view of the ocean. The common fridge for guests and freedom to use the kitchen was great. The downstairs porch also has a fabulous view of the ocean. I liked that spot because it was quiet. The beach was too much of a steep hike for me (not the younger guests though!). Meredith told us about the very close drive to 2 beach spots where we found plenty of places to eat and wide open swimming areas. Surfing is the thing at this beach. But we found spots perfect for us to swim with small waves. We totally enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

When I first stumbled upon this place on AirBnB, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was perfect . Meredith & Jonny are very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions, superb hosts and make you feel at ease straight away. The place was very clean and had all of the necessities for a few nights stay.The bed is comfortable, the bathroom and terrace are excellent. Location is incredible. 100% brilliant place to stay.

Our house is on the quieter west side of the beach, which is less busy than the east end, where the main part of town is.
It's an easy 20 minute walk along the beach to the main area of town where you will find a great grocery store, lots of restaurants, cafes, shops, the ATM and the gas station.
However, you could easily spend most of your time on this end of the beach.
It's only a 2 minute walk to the Surf Dojo Cafe and La Barca Beach Bar across the road from us, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
It's also only 2 minutes to Eco Venao's Cafe and Restaurant if you'd like to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner surrounded by the jungle.
10 minutes further west you'll find Canas, a charming authentic Panamanian village, which also has a supermarket. 20 minutes further west is Tonosi, with bigger Supermarkets, pharmacies, a rural hospital, and other amenities. 30 minutes to the east is Pedasi, a more touristy town with many restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, shops, a private medical clinic, and the public hospital.

Lots of people walk everywhere in Playa Venao. We can also offer you a lift if you need help getting somewhere. We offer free parking onsite if you're coming with a vehicle, and it's easy to find parking wherever you need to go in town. There are also several private taxis if you need help getting around.
