I stayed almost one week in the "beautiful 1 bedroom rental unit". In first instance, I was not excited about the location, but finally the neighborhood is convenient, safe and relatively calm for NYC. N/R and D trains will make your moves to Manhattan and Dumbo very easy. The room was small but as expected. There is no nightstand to put stuff on it for easy reach. Maybe a smaller clothes cabinet in favor of a nightstand would be an improvement. Another con is the room is difficult to aerate, even it is not a surprise for NYC. For your confort, there is a very efficient AC to cool down the room. Common spaces are shared with 3 other rooms at the floor, you will have to take it into account to use those spaces, especially for the restroom/bathroom. Communication with Tara and check out were very easy. Globally it was a very good experience, and a great value. I highly recommend it for anyone that search for a safe, calm and affordable stay.

Tara is the best host I’ve ever met, she is welcoming, friendly and sweet!! The room I stay and shared space are very clean, tidy and well-maintained. I used to worry about sharing the bathroom with other guest because of potential safety/hygiene issue, but Tara sets clearly rules for using the bathroom and living room so it brings me a excellent experience. Transportation is also good! Highly recommend this place!

I can only give Tara my highest rating and recommendation. Ideal for when visiting NYC, because of the metro that is literally just 5 min away from the doorstep and makes getting around super easy and convenient. On top of that Tara is just the nicest, sweetest and most welcoming host you could imagine and makes you feel at home from the moment you meet her (plus she was so incredible helpful with recommending places to go and see). I would definately go back if / when I'm in town again. Couldn' recommend highly enough!

A nice, clean place to stay with lovely hosts! Tara responded quickly, and her husband helped me with my luggage up the stairs which I appreciated.
