Watch the boats pass by and bald eagles soar as you enjoy the views from this vaulted riverfront cottage in the heart of the Capital District. Towpath Landing is a 55 acre peninsula with 18 waterfront cabins that I am bringing back to life. Purple has expansive views of the Erie Canal/Mohawk River, fully stocked kitchen, bathroom/shower, grill, firepit, kayaks (included) and is on the Vischer Ferry Bike Trail. It is hard to believe you are in the heart of the Capital District and restaurant area Rustic wood cabin with vaulted ceilings and a full wall of antique Jalousie windows that provide incredible breezes and views of the river. We have a picnic table, fire pit and grill for outdoor enjoyment and an electric fireplace for indoors. You also get tubes for floating in the river - my favorite thing to do. The waterfront is pretty flat here so easily accessible (at your own risk of course - rocks can be slippery). We have kayaks to go to the sandbar island across from you, or paddle to Klam'r for some food or through the Vischer Ferry Preserve for some incredible nature sights. Towpath Landing is at the start of the Vischer Ferry bike trail which is great for walking or biking. Great fishing everywhere. There is also a shed stocked with games for indoor and outdoor fun.
