Alice is one of the genuinely nicest people I have ever met. She responds very quickly and gets things set right. The room was prestinely clean when I had arrived, and check-in was a breeze. They have a few cats and dogs, and they behave well. There is a full kitchen, and it is kept pretty clean most of the time, but with several pepple using it all it takes is one person to froget to clean up after themselves for you to possibly come to a dirty kitchen bit if Alice is around it will get cleaned up within a day. The bed was amazing, and there were definitely enough drawers to hold clothes and provided clothes baskets. The washer and dryer were super easy to use and worked well. Wifi woked phenomenonally with only one or two instances over my 3 month stay (I am a gamer, I really would notice any disruption in service and am playing nearly as much as I am working).

Some Airbnb properties are so architecturally and historically extraordinary that the intellectual reward of staying in them, and the satisfaction derived from supporting their maintenance, surpasses the guest’s mundane interest in convenience of facilities and location. This is such a property. It is a fascinating, ornate, spatially complex house, comparable to a European villa. The woodwork and wallpapers are exquisite, and period hardware throughout is functioning and a pleasure to use. In addition to these attractions, the home is suffused with a spirit of easygoing, generous hospitality on the part of Dr. Alice and her family. Dr. Alice communicates promptly, and is prepared to go out of her way to be accommodating. The house is also within walking distance of the Amtrak station, a brewpub, and Elyria’s stately downtown square. This is a most enjoyable and welcoming Airbnb site!

The home was exactly what was advertised. It was not a bit like a hotel. No room service or wake up calls, A few of the items I missed. But it was fun to experience staying there, and Dr. Alice was a gracious and considerate hostess. She bent over backwards to ensure my satisfaction. If you’re tired of lifeless hotels, try this great deal!
