Lucas’s place was perfect for my group. Very clean, Very quiet. We attended a concert at Tanglewood. Only a 10min drive away. Highly recommended. 👍🏼👍🏼

The house has good interior space, nicely equipped kitchen, clean. However, the access to the lake was very disappointing: described as a “rustic path”,it felt like an afterthought. Basically a roughly cut 2 ft wide path, overgrown in places, ending at the lake . The dock pictured in the photos is private and not accessible. Swimming was awkward, especially for young children: no place to sit on the shore or put down a towel ( lots of biting red ants!) no easy place to fish from the shore . The house had a permit for the Lenox beach that was expired. When we requested a new permit, Lucas quickly got one for us .We left our kayaks at the end of the path in the bushes..but again, biting ants. It would be great if more effort was put into widening and making the path more user friendly similar to the other private paths. I should have questioned the lake “access” upfront. Garbage/ recycle bins were 1/2 full on arrival. Need a house manual with clear instructions . Overall good location

Our stay with 3 generations of family was overall very good with quick response from the hosts. The home was close to many wonderful markets, shops, museums, hiking, and lakes. There was plenty of space for the 10 of us. Our only challenge was that the listing stated there was private lake access when in reality, it was a very narrow path across the street that led to beautiful Laurel Lake. Once at the shoreline, there was no space to fish, swim or kayak due to no frontage. In spite of that, we had a relaxing and fun vacation.

Lucas was great to work with - very responsive and checked in with us a few times. Also let us check in early when the house happened to be ready. The house was cleaned well and was very well stocked with tons of bath towels and ample shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash. The house itself was lower quality than we expected and what we felt we paid for. It seemed comparable to a 2- or 3-star hotel. The downstairs bedrooms had a foul smell in them. It also is not directly on the lake like we expected. The lake wasn’t usable for us, as families with young kids. The access point for the house works as a launch point for the kayaks, with no dock and no cleared area to stay or sit. We had to go to another beach in town to enjoy the lake, and drove even further to use kayaks usable for young kids (doubles vs singles at the house.) If we were a group with older kids or just adults, wanting to venture into the lake for a swim or kayak trip, then the lake at the house would work just fine.

The photos and description indicated private access to the lake, and a dock was shown in the photos. We happily found the dock pictured and were hanging out on in when the owner, who lives across the street, introduced himself and told us that we can't use that dock and that the canoe access is in the woods. The access was unmarked and almost impossible to find, and had overgrown, thorny branches and fire ants. My sister got bit by the fire ants while she was clearing the path (we spent about an hour clearing the path so our kids and elderly parents could try to access the lake. Very disappointing that we were not able to enjoy the lake from the house as advertised, which is why we thought we were paying so much. There was also a step inside the house that was about an inch high between the kitchen and the tv room that we kept tripping on.
