we stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday to have more space for family and friends to visit. this was definitely the nicest Airbnb we have stayed in and would highly recommend it if you plan to stay in the Berkshires. you are within minutes to everything you might need but secluded enough for you to feel like you're the only ones there. we loved the fire pit and the house is spacious and beautiful. the house had some really neat features as well such as the old antique music box was super cool and played with the most amazing sound. we will be back.
We really enjoyed our stay at this home. However a few words of warning: It's a bit cramped for tall people, especially on the second floor. There are some very low ceilings, and one bedroom on the second floor has a sloped ceiling so my husband couldn't stand up everywhere in it. It's not suitable for older people who have any trouble with stairs. There is no bathroom on the second floor, where two of the bedrooms are, and the staircase up to the second floor is very steep with very tall steps. There is a railing, but the stairs are painted wood, and it would be very easy to slip. Definitely dangerous to navigate for an older person going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. We brought my husband's mother for a weekend to celebrate her 80th birthday. We imagined that my husband and I would have the king bed and master suite, but we had to put my mother-in-law in it because of the above reasons. Otherwise a great place, well-stocked, lovely furnishings...
We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The location is super and the communication and interaction with Claudia was smooth, friendly and very clear. We will definitely return!

Hello! I am Claudia Laslie, owner and creator of Berkshire Rental Properties, specializing in both long and short term vacation rentals, throughout the Southern Berkshires, since 2005. My role is to act as liaison between renter and homeowner and to assist the owner in preparing their rental so that renters have a wonderful experience and want to return to the Berkshires again and again. I moved to Great Barrington in 2003 along with my two children who were quite young at the time. Looking to supplement my income, I would clean my house top to bottom, pack my kids into their car seats, and rent out my house for weekends. In talking about it with friends, one thing lead to another and before long I was helping others to do the same! My company has come a long way from those early vacation rental pioneering days... thank goodness. BRP provides seasoned guidance to both homeowners as they prepare their homes as well as to potential renters to help them find the best property that fits their needs. I also assist with long term rentals, both furnished and unfurnished. I am a licensed MA real estate broker represented by Lance Vermeulen Real Estate Inc.
