Bayou Wildlife Zoo (10 min) and Bay Area Raceway (2 min) will keep the kids entertained and out of the car!
Spend the day visiting NASA (15 min), Bay Brook Mall (10 min), Kemah Boardwalk(25 min), and Galveston Island (20 min). A few minutes down the road pick your own berries at Fruits n Such, then check out the catch of the day, or a live band at our fun waterfront bars in San Leon (Top Water Grill, Pier 6, Gilhooleys) or catch your own at the Texas City Dike or even our own backyard!
Only 2 minutes from I-45 means a direct path to Hobby Airport and Southwest Airlines (25 min) and Houston down-town attractions. Bike along Buffalo Bayou, catch an Astro’s game, picnic in Discovery Green and enjoy world class theatre and music at The Hobby Center or Jones Hall. Take in the skyline from rooftop bars and movie theater, or the garden atop The Post. Herman Park, housing the Zoo, Golf course, Japanese Gardens and Miller outdoor theater, is located next to the fabulous Museum district and Houston's famous Medical Center (40 min).
Perfectly situated for commuting to Conferences at Grace Community Church or the Memorial Hermann Hospital network. Mardi Gras, Biker rally, IronMan and Dickens on the Strand are just some annual events in Galveston, easily accessed from our Manor. Save some money and gain some peace and quiet!

Houston is a big city and you will need a car. Rustic Chic is 2 minutes from I-45 so getting around is not complicated! Our street is narrow and quiet, and our house is at the dead end, so we'll save you a spot in the driveway! Just be careful backing out as it is tight.
