We were so pleased with our accommodations. The photos accurately described the home, which was lovely. Doug, the homeowner was very attentive to all of our needs, and responded immediately. It was a wonderful stay!

Doug is a great communicator and host. It is easy to access the property. The property is new and clean, and the location is excellent —about 1 hour from the national park. We were glad to stay there instead of in hotels in the Bar Harbor area. The only thing is the checkout time is 9 AM. It is a bit too early for vacationers. Thank you, Doug, for sharing his home and being a great host.

Doug was very helpful and courteous. The cottage was bright, clean, and relaxing. Our kids slept on the trundle bed and loved the games available. My wife and I loved the views and kitchen (she mentioned a couple times it’d be nice to have an open concept kitchen like the cottage). The location was nice and quiet. It was a short 1-mile walk down to the beach, as well as a few miles down from the Penobscot Narrows Bridge & Fort Knox (they were an unexpected cool part of our vacation). A lovely sun-filled home away from home. Our family enjoyed having our own space to relax after each day’s adventures. Clean and new, private space. We liked cooking a healthy breakfast before heading out and enjoying the views. Some road noise, since it’s close to Rt 1, but really only noticeable when the front windows were open. The owner even added some portable a/c units for us, but we only needed them a couple of days and just to take the day’s heat out.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our time in Stockton Springs. The home was very well stocked with everything that we needed. We even saw a deer early one morning in the yard!
