Booked for a colleague who said it was one of the best Airbnbs she has stayed in. Steve was very attentive and had even kindly lit the fire due to their late arrival. Would definitely book again

We had a FABULOUS stay over the Easter weekend at this beautiful country villa! It is as described. The photos have captured really well this warm cosy home in the country. The kitchen is fully equipped and a dream to cook in! It has everything! The beds are so comfy and we had great sleeps. As we had little kids (5yrs & under - we were grateful for the bath, washing machine and dryer. We were spoilt for outdoor options. The garden is large and beautiful - perfect setting for Easter egg hunt and games. The villa is near the domain, river and kids playground. What made our stay extra special - was Steve and his family. They met us upon arrival and showed us around. They made sure we were warm and had everything we needed. Their kindness and generosity is what continues to stay with us now that we are back home. If you are still reading this review - please do not hesitate to book . We highly recommend for short & long stays. We will definitely be back!!

Great place to stay, plenty of room with everything you would need - well equipped kitchen, full laundry and lovely grounds. Steve is super helpful and a great host.

We had an amazing stay at this comfortable, clean, peaceful house. Great fully equipped kitchen, very nice private backyard, good comfortable beds, truly a home away from home. The host is very nice and helpful, made a lots of effort to provide a comfortable stay. The area offers amazing hikes and walks, great fishing. 10 days was not enough to do everything! We will definetely come back.

A truly one of a kind experience staying at Steve's property, which we managed to book fairly last minute. Nestled in the heart of a small, quaint town with a spectacular mountainous backdrop we more than enjoyed our stay here. Loved the ambience and how cosy and at home everything felt, standout features were the fireplace, lovely outdoor seating, beautiful spacious rooms, extra amenities were very thoughtful like individual soap bars for each guest and a huge selection of tea/coffee. Steve was such an attentive and accommodating host, personally greeting us for the check in process, checking up on us throughout our stay and offering advice on things to do in the surrounding areas. His character truly elevated our experience and I look forward to staying here again if I'm fortunate enough to return to the beautiful south island, 11/10 a very memorable stay.
