Embrace the peace and quiet of the countryside surroundings and unwind at this peaceful retreat with amazing sunsets, dark skies and beautiful walks. only 1.5 miles from Corbridge, 4 miles from Hexham and 18 miles from Newcastle. The annex does have a small kitchenette where a simple meal can be prepared for an evening relaxing with a glass in front of log burner after a day of walks or sightseeing. We have tried to make the accommodation comfortable and relaxing. The bedroom has a comfy, king size bed, a double wardrobe with plenty hanging space and storage. There’s two windows with blackout curtains, one window looks onto the front court yard WN some beautiful sunset light in the summer and the other faces NE onto the back garden. It’s peaceful and quiet and you’ll have a good night’s sleep. The living room also faces WN and some beautiful sunsets can been seen all year round. It has a cosy log fire, with sofas, bean bags, dining table and a small kitchenette with sink, combi oven and hob. There’s also a fridge/freezer. The private bathroom: a spacious area with a shower, toilet and basin. The annex has its own door with hallway which includes a cupboard and coat hanging space where shoes and boots can be left.

We can’t thank Sonja and John enough for our perfect stay. It’s even better than the photographs only because it is hard to capture what they have with photos. It’s a completely idyllic British country side location with access to everything you could ask for 5 minutes down the road. I don’t think it gets any better for anyone wanting to get away from city life without the usual cons. You can visit beautiful bars, restaurants and shops just a few minutes away or you could walk along wallpaper worthy scenery in any direction. The hosts really did go above and beyond. Nothing was too much. It was a pleasure to meet you both and we will be back!

A really cosy place to stay, with everything you need and some nice welcoming touches including very tasty fruit cake. Sonja and John made us feel very welcome and we had a lovely weekend and would definitely return.
We really enjoyed our stay at the annexe. Sonja and John were very friendly and helpful hosts , with useful recommendations about the area. Information leaflets and maps were provided. The welcome provisions were much appreciated. The accommodation was comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean. It was well located and peaceful with beautiful countryside and amazing autumn colours. Corbridge is easily accessible and we had a lovely, if slightly muddy walk down there. We would highly recommend a stay and hope to return again soon.
Beautiful place to stay with beautiful surroundings. Couldn’t ask for better host Sonja and her husband was very friendly and responsive. Wished we could have stayed longer!

We have a lovely friendly neighbourhood. It’s important to remember there’s farmland around us, with sheep and cows. It’s not unusual to see herds passing. Take care pulling out onto road for unexpected cars and animals.
No problem parking. It’s great for walking and the nearest public transport is Corbridge for trains and buses.
