The journey started badly by being met with a very rude woman when we arrived at the wrong door (but who we believe is the owner), and went in at 4.30pm to find the room untouched from the previous guests. No amends were offered like a voucher to a local diner or discount, which was unfortunate. We were booked for a two-week stay and had come from overseas, so it was also unfortunate that there was no service or provision for fresh towels or sheets or trash collection half-way through our stay. This would have made the world of difference! Also the noise from the highway (i35) can be heard from the room at night, but not so loud is disrupted sleep. However, those issues aside, this is a great location, close to shops and restaurants, on a beautiful street, and a lovely big room to stay in. We especially loved the balcony and rocking chairs on the front porch.

Cute little old remodeled historic room with a balcony overlooking quaint street with in walking distance of shops and restaurants. Recommendation: at the time we stayed the room just had a super tiny little fridge (like enough space to put 1-2 drinks in) so bring a cooler or something to keep your food/drinks cold. We enjoyed our stay and would come again if traveling through! Thank you for sharing your space with us!

The location of this quaint property is right on the Main St. Very convenient for shopping and dining. The room is nicely decorated, beds are comfortable, and there is a coffee machine. There are a few things to consider prior to booking; the noise from the highway is loud, so bring ear plugs. It’s an old house and the toilet randomly starts to run very loudly at night. Bring an eye mask, there is not sufficient window covering. There was not one hanger in the closet. The doorbell starts to ring early in the morning for the business on the first floor. We would have been able to accept the quirkiness of the room and the inconvenience of the external noise had contractors not started using very strong lacquer in the room across from ours the second day of our stay. I reached out to the property management asked for fans to clear the fumes & asked why they were renovating with guests in the house. It was too late to book another accommodation & no apology. Zero consideration for guests.
